We are seeking a Test Support Engineer to support hardware testing and manufacturing operations across production and service environments. This role focuses on troubleshooting, debugging, and improving test processes for complex electronic systems and components.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across both component-level and system-level testing in fast-paced production environments.
Scope:
• Troubleshoot and resolve test issues across manufacturing and service lines using scripting, networking, Linux tools, and automotive diagnostic methods.
• Investigate failures and line stoppages, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, test, IT, integration, and security teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support deployment and validation of new hardware and software test solutions.
• Execute test experiments, validation activities, and process verification runs.
• Develop and drive best practices to improve test efficiency, stability, and production yield.
Required:
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or production testing of electronic systems or assemblies.
• Experience with hardware validation, production testing, or NPI support.
• Strong experience with Python and shell scripting (bash).
• Familiarity with Linux terminal tools, logs, APIs, and remote access tools (SSH).
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD workflows.
• Exposure to factory automation systems, MES platforms, or manufacturing tools.
Pluses:
• Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as pytest or requests.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams or electrical schematics.
Estimated Min Rate: $35.00
Estimated Max Rate: $45.00/hr+ Depends on work expereince
