Supply Chain Specialist
We are seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Specialist to support materials management, purchasing, inventory control, and supplier coordination for low-volume hardware builds. This is a tactical execution role focused on ensuring materials, inventory, and manufacturing operations run efficiently while supporting engineering teams through prototype and production builds. The ideal candidate has experience in a small to mid-sized hardware company, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and thrives in fast-paced environments.

Scope:
• Manage materials, inventory, purchasing, and supplier activities supporting hardware builds.
• Create and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and coordinate material availability.
• Support engineering builds through material planning, kitting, and production readiness.
• Develop and improve SOPs for inventory, receiving, kitting, and material handling.
• Drive operational efficiencies through inventory controls, barcode solutions, and process improvements.
• Manage engineering change orders (ECOs), BOM revisions, and material updates.
• Coordinate logistics, supplier communications, and delivery schedules.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve material shortages and production issues.
• Support occasional coordination with overseas suppliers during off-hours.
• Travel approximately 10% to supplier or manufacturing locations as needed.

Required:
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, buyer/planner, logistics, or manufacturing operations within a hardware environment.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory management, supplier coordination, and material planning.
• Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing builds through kitting and production readiness.
• Familiarity with BOM management, engineering change orders (ECOs), and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and solving day-to-day operational challenges.

Pluses:
• Experience supporting optics, semiconductor, or other precision hardware manufacturing.
• Experience implementing inventory tracking, barcode, or warehouse management solutions.
• Familiarity with prototype or NPI hardware builds and contract manufacturers.



Estimated Min Rate: $45.00
Estimated Max Rate: $55.00
