This candidate will join the Engineering Systems Team to manage the end-to-end digital thread for Planet's next-generation satellite constellations, such as Pelican and Tanager. Your primary objective is to maintain and optimize the "Engineering Systems Topology"—the critical web of software that connects Design, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
Impact You’ll Own
- Systems Integration: Manage the transformation and release of complex satellite Bill of Materials (BOM) data from MCAD (SolidWorks) and ECAD (Altium/Cadence) into PLM and ERP systems.
- Hardware Release Management: Act as the primary gatekeeper for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring all design revisions are accurately reflected in production systems to prevent manufacturing deviations.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Provide daily administration and troubleshooting for Siemens Teamcenter(PLM) and downstream ERP/MRP systems.
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the technical point of contact between Design Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and the Manufacturing floor to resolve data silos.
Technical Requirements
- PLM/ERP Mastery: 4+ years of experience managing Siemens Teamcenter and large-scale ERP integrations (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Aerospace Data Literacy: Deep understanding of MCAD & ECAD data structures and how to translate them for procurement.
- Automation Skills: Proficiency in Python or SQL for automating system workflows and data synchronization.
- Configuration Control: Expert-level knowledge of part revisioning, impact analysis, and lifecycle states in a fast-paced hardware environment.
