Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building and supporting external integrations with customers, partners, and third-party service providers. You’ll drive delivery of scalable integration solutions using modern API patterns, cloud services, and (where required) EDI transaction flows—helping accelerate onboarding and ensure reliable production operations.
What you’ll do
- Lead a team delivering multiple partner integrations from discovery through launch and ongoing support
- Design and build partner-facing APIs and integration services (REST, event/messaging where appropriate)
- Support B2B/EDI integrations and common transaction flows used in order, shipment, invoice, and inventory processing
- Collaborate with product, operations, and business stakeholders to align priorities and timelines
- Improve reliability with strong monitoring/alerting, runbooks, and operational readiness
- Promote strong engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, secure design) and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
- Experience leading engineers while staying close to the technology (player/coach)
- Strong background in backend/API development and system integrations
- Cloud experience (Azure preferred) with serverless, API management/gateways, and messaging/eventing
- Familiarity with EDI standards and/or integration platforms (iPaaS/middleware/managed EDI tools)
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and delivering to business deadlines
- Knowledge of secure API patterns and production operations best practices
- Experience in distribution, eCommerce, fulfillment/logistics, or B2B partner ecosystems
- Experience modernizing integrations from batch/file-based workflows to API/event-driven patterns
- Interest in using AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity and quality
