Salesforce Technical Architect
Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect with deep expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud (CPQ platform) to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Salesforce ecosystem. This role requires hands-on development, peer code review, and technical leadership in Salesforce CPQ migrations and upgrades. Experience with RLM (Revenue Lifecycle Management) is a strong plus.
As a key technical leader, you will work closely with the functional architect to design scalable solutions, ensure best practices, and drive innovation within the Salesforce platform. This position requires 2 days per week in NYC.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design and implement scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud (CPQ & Billing).
-Lead migrations and upgrades to Salesforce CPQ, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
-Architect solutions that support complex pricing models, discount structures, and subscription-based billing.
-Provide hands-on development for custom Salesforce components, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex triggers, and integrations.
-Serve as the go-to technical expert for Salesforce CPQ, advising on best practices, technical debt reduction, and scalability.
-Conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and drive quality improvements.
-Mentor developers and provide guidance on Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce integration best practices.
-Collaborate with stakeholders at multiple levels.
-Lead integrations with enterprise systems.
-Define and oversee data migrations related to Salesforce CPQ implementations and upgrades.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture and development.
-Deep expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud (CPQ platform).
-Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ migrations, upgrades, and customizations.
-Strong Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and API development experience.
-Knowledge of Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) is a big plus.
-Experience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party systems or applications (i.e. Marketo, Informatica, Oracle Financials, Copado, Conga CLM, etc.)
-Strong knowledge of Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git, Copado, Gearset).
-Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication with stakeholders.
-Salesforce Architect-level certifications preferred (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Certified Application Architect, CPQ Specialist).
Preferred Experience:
-Experience with multi-cloud implementations and global rollouts.
-Knowledge of subscription-based revenue models and advanced CPQ configurations.
