Yoh presents an excellent long-term Research Scientist opportunity with a trusted, long-term client located in Waltham, MA.
 
This position is part of a major  pharmaceutical company, and requires a  Master’s degree or PhD in cell biology, immunology, or another related field. Schedule is  full-time M-F (7am-8am start time, 8 hour shift)  and may require flexibility to work some evenings and overtime due to projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lab-based position
  • Cell Culture Operations: Maintain and passage mammalian cell lines; prepare cells for transfection and expression studies
  • mRNA/LNP Expression Testing: Design, execute, and optimize assays for mRNA-derived protein expression levels and LNP delivery for both routine and high-throughput screening experiments
  • Antigen Characterization: Contribute to comprehensive characterization of expressed antigens using immunological and biochemical methods (e.g., western blots)
  • Immunoassay Development: Develop, qualify, and implement immunoassays for detecting protein expression and functional characterization with a focus on microscopy-based techniques
  • Transversal Collaboration: Work across multiple project teams, providing technical expertise and experimental support to advance pipeline programs
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze experimental data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to project teams
  • Protocol Development: Develop and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new assays and methodologies
  • Laboratory Documentation: Maintain accurate and compliant electronic lab notebook (ELN) records in accordance with GLP/GMP standards where applicable
 
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in cell biology, immunology, or another related field
  • 3+ years of relevant pharma industry experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in fluorescence/confocal microscopy (e.g., Operetta CLS/Phenix)
  • Experience with routine culturing and transfection of mammalian cells
  • Independent work style: Demonstrated ability to design experiments, troubleshoot issues, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to experimental execution, data recording, and quality control
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional, team-oriented environment



Estimated Min Rate: $40.00
Estimated Max Rate: $45.00
