Austin, Texas About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist who can bring strong analytical thinking, negotiation expertise, and hands?on experience with enterprise procurement systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem?solving, collaborating across supply chain functions, and driving purchasing excellence in a fast?paced environment.
You will play a key role in supporting supplier negotiations, managing non?strategic suppliers (<$5M), optimizing inventory levels, and partnering with Engineering, SCM, and MPM to keep production running smoothly and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to influence processes, lead improvements, and take ownership of procurement activities that directly impact operational success. What You’ll Do
- Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms under established guidelines.
- Manage non-strategic suppliers and drive cost?effective procurement decisions.
- Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate pricing, and update purchase orders.
- Work closely with Engineering, MPM, and SCM to recommend new suppliers.
- Maintain inventory at planned levels and support manufacturing operations.
- Lead resolution of material?related accounting and receiving issues.
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes, delivery timelines, and supplier performance expectations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records.
- Provide insight and recommendations to strengthen supplier relations and purchasing strategy.
? Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
- 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related experience.
- Experience managing suppliers and evaluating sourcing options.
- Knowledge of best procurement practices and supply chain integration.
- Strong skills in:
? Data analysis

? Procurement processes
? Supply chain systems and technologies - Required software expertise:
SAP, SCV, ARIBA(or similar procurement platforms)
- Effective communication with suppliers and internal partners
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Critical thinking and analytical problem?solving
- Ability to explain complex or sensitive topics clearly
- Prioritization and time?management skills to handle multiple projects
- Adaptability in changing priorities
- Initiative, motivation, collaboration, and coaching mindset
- Work in a role with significant impact on supplier relationships, cost structure, and supply chain efficiency.
- Lead purchasing activities and serve as a resource for less?experienced colleagues.
- Engage in cross?functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
