Position Overview Applied Materials is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to support advanced engineering projects in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering tests and reports.
- Develop and modify layouts, schematics, specifications and drawings.
- Perform engineering analysis and lead technical projects.
- Design custom tooling, fixtures and manufacturing processes.
- Review engineering documentation and develop mechanical solutions.
- Build consensus and communicate technical information clearly.
- Bachelor's degree
- 4-7 years of experience
- CREO CAD experience
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and DFx principles
- Knowledge of the Applied Materials product lifecycle including prototyping, packaging, material selection and manufacturing methods
