Position Summary
The Senior Material Coordinator will be focused on inventory management and warehousing operations, while also supporting basic manufacturing and assembly operations for a med device company. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and staging materials, fulfilling sales orders, and assisting with production tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection
- Unload and receive incoming materials
- Operate warehouse equipment safely
- Validate stock locations
- Inspect materials for defects
- Document results in ERP and QMS systems
- Perform routine inventory counts
- Monitor stock levels and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records in ERP and inventory systems
- Pick, stage, and validate components for production according to work orders
- Ensure accuracy and readiness for assembly
- Assemble medical devices and components per detailed instructions and SOPs
- Accurately document production activities
- Support packaging, labeling, and shipping operations
- Ensure quality standards are met and outbound orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Required experience working in a regulated environment within either pharmaceutical or medical device
- 3 to 5 years of relevent experience.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and SOPs
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and ERP systems
- Understanding of material flow processes with the ability to help define and improve them
- An understanding of traceability and quality requirements is required
- Some quality assurance responsibilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and inventory software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA regulatory requirements
- Experience with inbound inspection and document control activities
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Strong attention to detail; prior lead or promotional experience is highly desirable
Working Conditions
- Full-time, hourly, on-site position
- Ability to stand, walk, and move within the production area for long periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- May be required to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs
- Warehouse environment is small with high ceilings; materials are handled using extension ladders, material lifts, and pallet jacks
