What You’ll Be Doing:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with strong phlebotomy skills, including venipuncture for pediatric (ages 5+) and adult patients.
- Experience performing laboratory procedures and point-of-care testing.
- Knowledge of lab safety standards, infection control practices, and proper specimen handling.
- Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
- Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
- At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
- Weekends and holidays off
