- $18.47/hr. on a W2
- 6/7AM, 4-5 hours per day, Mon-Friday
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of client's Quality System
- Responsible for the following daily routine tasks with some supervision:
- Handling and disposal of laboratory waste; including operation of autoclave.
- Maintaining laboratory stocks and supplies.
- Routine cleaning and organization of laboratory spaces.
- Decontamination of equipment for removal from controlled areas.
- Escorting/chaperoning of repair and maintenance technicians in controlled areas.
- Minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance of some equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to maintain laboratory operation, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education: HS Diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science (or equivalent hands-on lab experience)
- This is an entry-level role. No previous experience is required.?
- Lab Exposure: Academic, internship, or early-career experience in a microbiology or regulated lab setting preferred
- Must be able to reliably maintain a routine part-time work schedule consisting of a shift first thing in the mornings each day of the week.
- Must be organized and take responsibility for identifying and resolving issues as they arise with the appropriate guidance from more senior personnel.
- General knowledge of computers and a working knowledge of Microsoft office products is desired.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
- Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
