Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to oversee residential architectural projects from concept through completion. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, quality standards, budgets, and coordination efforts across internal teams and external consultants.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possesses a strong understanding of architectural design, construction documentation, and project execution. This position works closely with Design, Engineering, Architectural Operations, and outside consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage multiple architectural projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate project activities among internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Oversee preparation and delivery of construction documents, lot-specific plans, revisions, and project updates.
- Ensure adherence to established workflows, standards, and development procedures.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collect, organize, and interpret project information necessary for successful execution.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and data management practices.
- Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Architectural Operations, and external consultants throughout project lifecycles.
- Support architectural technology initiatives during discovery, evaluation, and implementation phases.
- Assist design teams in evaluating new design options, styles, details, and process improvements.
- Share best practices, lessons learned, and project insights across teams.
- Foster strong working relationships and effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Review project deliverables to ensure compliance with architectural standards, building codes, and quality expectations.
- Interpret construction documents and identify issues requiring resolution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and governance of standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support leadership with project reporting, analysis, and decision-making initiatives.
- Mentor team members by sharing expertise, problem-solving approaches, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to operational improvements that enhance team performance and project outcomes.
- Associate Degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, construction documentation, or related project management environments.
- 2+ years of project leadership, project coordination, or team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction documentation, and building codes.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/SketchUp/BIM360, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and remote stakeholders.
Estimated Min Rate: $42.00
