Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (required)
- 7–9 years of software development experience
- Experience developing on public cloud (AWS Managed Services), including:
- ECS, EC2, EKS
- Serverless Framework / Lambda
- API Gateway, Step Functions
- S3, ALB, Route53
- Strong ability to develop and/or consume REST APIs using:
- Java and Spring Boot
- Proficiency writing and performance tuning SQL (functions/procedures) in transactional databases such as:
- Oracle (and experience in similar systems)
- Testing experience, including building test suites with:
- JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Karate
- Experience with build tooling:
- Gradle / Maven
- Exposure to engineering tools such as:
- GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy, Docker, Datadog, Splunk (or similar)
- Some .NET exposure, especially helpful given a planned migration movement from a monolithic .Net application to Java Spring Boot microservices
- Experience aligning work to initiatives around:
- testing automation, paper elimination, digital credentials, and cloud transformation
- Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Preferred experience level: Senior engineer experience with 7–9 years minimum in software development (or equivalent demonstrated capability)
