Overview
We are seeking a highly hands-on FP&A Manager who will play a critical role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis while leading a small team. This role is approximately 80% individual contributor and 20% team leadership, managing two Financial Analysts.
Key Responsibilities
FP&A & Financial Analysis
- Own and deliver core financial reporting, including:
- Budget vs. actuals (with a focus on IT spend, SG&A, and revenue)
- Monthly income statement and balance sheet reporting packages
- Cash flow forecasting and annual budgeting processes
- Profitability analysis by client, business line, and entity
- Build and maintain complex financial models and reports using advanced Excel
- Perform ad hoc analysis by extracting and consolidating data from multiple systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP and other internal tools)
- Partner closely with IT and department leaders to analyze spend vs. budget and provide actionable insights
- Support executive reporting needs, including materials for board presentations
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two Financial Analysts
- Set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
- Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and business relevance
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Partner with Accounting leadership during close cycles and audit processes
- Provide backup support across finance and accounting functions as needed
- Support additional responsibilities such as insurance renewals and compliance-related tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 10+ years of FP&A and financial reporting experience (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Advanced Excel expertise required (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF statements, financial modeling) — assessment will be conducted
- Strong understanding of financial statements and how they interconnect
- Experience presenting financial insights to executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
