Overview
The Director of AI and Technology will oversee in-house technology-related operations and integrations for the family office and affiliated entities, ensuring secure, scalable, and forward-looking solutions that support investment operations, family governance, and enterprise functions. This role requires a strategic technology leader with deep hands-on technical capabilities, including custom application development, AI-enabled solutions, and vendor ecosystem management. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and a clear vision for how AI can transform products, services, and internal processes. Reports to the President.
Technology Strategy & Governance
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT and digital transformation strategy in coordination with external MSP.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and automation in business processes to drive growth and efficiency
- Oversee and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards.
- Advise leadership on technology investments and risks.
- Design and develop custom business applications using Microsoft 365, AI tools and modern frameworks.
- Build internal tools such as task tracking systems and dashboards.
- Integrate systems across finance and operations.
- Automate workflows using Power Automate and AI tools.
- Lead enterprise AI strategy using Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and related tools.
- Update internal Process Maps and flows. Identify high-impact AI use cases and implement solutions.
- Drive adoption through training and governance.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards in coordination with external MSP.
- Manage hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee system performance, scalability, and availability.
- Oversee MSP Help Desk and IT ticketing.
- “Smart Hands” on-site in both office locations. Some travel expected.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management Oversight
- Oversee MSP cybersecurity programs and risk assessments.
- Ensure internal compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee key business platforms including portfolio and CRM systems.
- Ensure data integrity and governance.
- Lead integration across platforms.
- Oversee Managed Service Providers and IT vendors.
- Define SLAs and performance metrics.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- Ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Provide technical support to staff and family members.
- Deliver training on systems, cybersecurity, and AI tools.
- Promote digital adoption and best practices.
