About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lending Operations Specialist to support a financial services organization’s loan operations team. This position is ideal for someone with an accounting, finance, legal, or lending-related background who enjoys working with documentation, data, and multiple stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is organized, highly accurate, comfortable working with loan-related documentation, and willing to take on hands-on administrative and data entry responsibilities. Candidates with commercial lending, construction lending, captive finance, or dealership finance exposure are especially encouraged to apply, although this experience is not required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the preparation, review, and processing of commercial loan documentation.
- Assist with loan boarding, system updates, and accurate data entry into lending platforms
- Coordinate with borrowers, legal counsel, commercial loan officers, operations, and other internal teams to support loan closings and funding
- Verify insurance requirements and ensure necessary documentation is received and maintained
- Assist with updating loan risk ratings, system flags, and other required loan information
- Support construction lending activities, including reviewing reports and documentation from third-party construction monitors, contractors, and title companies
- Assist with the review and processing of construction loan draws, disbursements, and revolving credit activity
- Help monitor service levels and follow up with internal and external parties to keep transactions moving
- Maintain accurate records and documentation while ensuring work is completed in accordance with established procedures.
- Take on additional operational and administrative responsibilities as business needs require.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent college education
- Background in Accounting, Finance, Legal, Lending, or a related field
- Approximately 1–3+ years of relevant professional experience; more experienced candidates are also welcome
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
- Comfortable performing data entry and working with detailed documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders
- Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and lending procedures
- Experience with commercial lending or commercial real estate lending
- Exposure to construction loans or construction lending operations
- Captive finance or dealership finance experience
- Familiarity with loan servicing or loan origination systems
- Experience working with legal, compliance, risk, treasury, or finance teams
This is a highly collaborative, onsite position requiring approximately 4 days in the office, with additional onsite time as business needs dictate. Candidates should be local and comfortable commuting to the office when required.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in producing thorough, accurate, high-quality work and is comfortable balancing detailed administrative responsibilities with coordination across multiple teams.
