What You Will Be Doing:
- Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in hardware/mechanism design and development of vacuum systems, vacuum chambers, vacuum isolation technologies, and support equipment.
- Capable of executing full range of design activity from concept generation, 3D CAD design using Unigraphics NX & TCE software, OEM component selection and/or specification development and documentation of Build-to-Print components and assemblies using PMI/MBD.
- Preferred experience in the semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment space with knowledge of semiconductor fabrication physics, processes, & materials.
- Works independently, receives guidance in only moderately complex situations.
- Interpret sub-system level functional requirements to define, design, & develop cost effective hardware solutions
- Execute significantly complex design projects having a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, control systems, and software design, which are leading edge of system functionality or technology
- Interface with multiple design and manufacturing engineering disciplines to specify, design, develop and commercialize semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment.
- Concept generation, detailed design and documentation and/or specification development and documentation of Build-to-Print components and assemblies using Unigraphics NX & TCE software
- Work with OEM suppliers to specify, develop, & document components required for hardware functionality.
What You Need to Bring to the Table: (Functional Knowledge & Skills:)
- Strong Mechanical experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to convey complex information
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications: Understands various board level communication standards such as SPI and I2C
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of direct experience
- Office work space collaborating with engineering colleagues
