Job Responsibilities:

- Functioning as a key member of the global Aavid Design team.
- Design, model, and architect system-level thermal solutions for diverse customer applications.
- Oversees bench level thermal tests and use resulting data to optimize the system for air flow, acoustical performance or other parameter.
- Work in conjunction with other design center staff on the development of next generation / breakthrough products and technology.
- Engaging with internal / external clients and factories relating to design projects.
- Collaboration with other Mechanical Engineers, Industrial Designers, Thermal Engineers, and Manufacturing contacts worldwide is necessary to help ensure quality and expedite the delivery of the product.

Job Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum four (4) year degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field (Master's level preferred).
- Four plus (4+) years of experience in Thermal Fluid Science and Engineering including thermal analysis using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) - IcePak / Fluent preferred.
- Experience using temperature and flow measurement equipment including thermocouples and data acquisition tools is a must!
- Any experience in 3D CAD software, preferably Solid Works, and finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus!
- Must have a "can do" attitude and be a team player.
- Solid analytical skills, can embrace change, can be entrepreneurial, take charge when necessary, and be willing to take appropriate risks.
