Job Responsibilities:

- Assess individual clinical trial and spontaneous case reports for determining regulatory reporting responsibilities.
- Assess drug adverse events for seriousness, expectedness and compare causality and querying for additional medical information needed to understand the event and determine causality.
- Write individual case assessments including analysis of similar events and interpret aggregate safety data for periodic reports.

Job Qualifications:

- MD degree from US medical school or equivalent.
- Completed US residency or equivalent.
- Three plus (3+) years of industry experience Pharmacovigilance along with expedited reporting, individual case processing and assessment.
- At least two (2) years of clinical practice post-residency; board certification is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of experience working in Pharmacovigilance for compounds in development. Experience must include performing safety surveillance / signal detection and medical review of ICSRs.
- Familiarity working with safety databases preferred (ARISg experience is an added plus).

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent safety support to Development and Marketed product studies.
- Assist medical affairs teams and the lead safety MD in identifying and managing safety concerns for products.
- Ensure effective safety surveillance across trials.
- Draft safety sections of key trial documents.
- Identifying and assisting in the management of safety concerns within trials.
- Assisting Medical Affairs trials teams in implementing, executing and concluding trials.
- Assisting lead safety MDs in their evaluation of products' safety profiles.
- Maintaining knowledge of safety profiles for treatments in a specific trial area.
- Support Lead Safety MD review of SRC materials.
- Participate in SRC Meetings as required.
- Create & supply materials to DMCs as required.
- Create DMC Charters, participate in DMC meetings and document conclusions.
- Execute DMC recommendations.
- Membership of internal DMCs.
- Product Labeling / Core Data Sheet Creation and Maintenance.
- Contribute to the synthesis of key safety recommendations and signals for inclusion in data sheet / Review core data sheet.
- Create draft updates to the core label as required.
- Package Insert / Labeling Updates.
- Create draft updated safety content based on Core and Safety analyses.
- Support the creation of labeling prose text updates, based on internal analysis.
- Issues management.
- Facilitate continuing issue evaluation, refining plan as necessary.
- Review issue data and close on recommendations.
- Support the formulation of a rapid response system and corporate policy / procedure to address safety crises.
- Review relevant data and draft response incorporating latest findings from ongoing Pharmacovigilance and epidemiological analysis.
- Safety Enquiries (Internal & External HCP and consumer).
- Support the establishment and updating of conventions / templates.
- Commercialization support and liaison to other functions Commercial Support.
- Participate in reviews of Contract Research Organization capabilities and performance.
- Create expectations of expected, anticipated statistical analyses to run over trial.

Job Qualifications:

- Experience reviewing and providing input using SAP.
- Three to five (3-5) years worth of clinical trial safety experience.
- Background in creating safety section of IB based on Regulatory guidance Investigator enquiries.
- Ability to create tables of aggregate and reconciled SAE's across Clinical and Safety databases.
- Ability to draft prose for Safety section of annual report, based on template Product Safety Surveillance Plan.
- Experience supporting the development of safety outsourcing strategies CRO Contracts.
