Client Overview:

Our client is the largest investor-owned water utility in the state, providing high-quality and reliable water and/or wastewater services.

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the day-to-day data management activities including gathering, converting, maintaining, analyzing and reporting on water and wastewater utility datasets.
- Preparing and updating reports and exhibits with GIS and CMMS applications and tools for engineering and operations departments.
- Maintaining operational standards for data quality, perform quality control monitoring / testing and report findings, perform root cause analysis and participate in issue resolution.
- Candidate will be gathering data, responsible for the quality control of data, will be making changes to data. (Analytical skills needed)
- Analyze the issues with a particular pipe and cross reference to see how long it has been in operation.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum five (5) years of experience in analytical and development functions of integrated GIS applications, preferably in a utility environment.
- GIS (geographic information software) experience and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) experience
- Must possess strong analytical, verbal, written and organizational skills.
- Thoroughly proficient computer skills and demonstrated mentoring capabilities.
- Knowledge of how GIS integrates with other utility-based software systems such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), customer information systems (CIS), financial systems and/or project management systems.
- Knowledge of global positioning systems (GPS), desktop mapping, web and database applications, geocoding and spatial analysis.
- Knowledge of data quality control and assurance techniques and processes.
- Familiarity with water and wastewater utility operation and maintenance practices a plus.
